My Journey By Bus | Otaru - Sapporo 🚌💨🇯🇵 Travelling by train is easy and convenient in Japan, but I still love taking bus, especially long distance destination (more than 50 mins). Why? Free WiFi (for IG story), comfort seat, exclusive window view and get a warm thank you from bus driver. It’s a scenic bus ride from Otaru to Sapporo, if you are visiting, you may go there by train and back to Sapporo by bus. Just that you have to take the ‘ticket’ when you get onto the bus. Before alighting, look at the TV screen and pay according to the number printed on the ‘ticket’. If you don’t have small change, put 1000 Yen note into the coin exchange machine, and then drop exact fare together with the ‘ticket’ into the ticket box. PS 1 : Bus fare is slightly cheaper than JR train fare. PS 2 : You can also pay with IC (stored-value) card, such as ICOCA, SUICA, etc.
